Game Playing:

Playing Neopet games is a fun and an easy way to make neopoints. There are many different categories of games, from quick arcade style to long adventures, some based on pure luck and chance to strategy games. The games are aimed for 'kids' of every age.

Making Neopoints:

The main point of the site is to have fun, but ultimately you will want Neopoints to purchase items that you want to upgrade your pet with. There are many ways to make Neopoints, and I will detail them below.

Neopet Dailies:

Neopet Dailies are in fact special games or competitions that you can only do once a day ( to once every few hours). These 'dailies' as they are called provide you with a good chance of making neopoints.

Playing Quick NP Games:

Playing games makes you neopoints (NP), but they are not all created equal. The maximum amount of NP's you can make per game is 1000 NP.

In addition, although you can play each game as many time as you want, you can only submit a score three times per day, for a total of 3000 NP, per day per game.

With some games it will be easy to get a score that gives you 1000 NP, and other games it will be more difficult. This is called the NP ratio of the game.

Owning a Shop:

Owning a shop is one of the best ways to make neopoints. It costs money to start it up, but what else are you going to do with all the items that you get while playing on Neopets.

You can be a casual shop owner, just selling anything that comes to you while playing games or random events. But the real money comes when you become a dedicated shop owner, seeking out specific bargains and reselling them at a higher price.

Stock Market:

The Neopets Stock Market is a good place to make money by not doing any work! No need to search for items to resell in your store. But it does take patience.

The very short version of the Stock Market advice is to buy 1000 shares (the maximum you can buy in one day) every day of any stock that is priced at 15NP (you cannot buy any stock that is lower than 15NP). Eventually the price will go higher than 15, then you sell it for profit. Very simple, but sometimes long.

Neopets Plots:

Neopets plots (not to be confused with Quests) are long clue hunt mystery type games. They are not played within a certain page, but make you search around the Neopets site for clues which eventually will lead to a conclusion and a final prize. They are quite interesting and will take hours to complete (usually over a few days worth of playing).

Neopets Quests:

The Quests are simple games that basically ask you to retrieve a Neopet item and give it in for a prize. There are two sorts of Neopet Quests, the ones you initiate on your own, and the ones that are randomly given out.

Faerie Quests:

Faerie quests are random events. You cannot ask for a Faerie quest. They will happen as you play Neopets. Each time you load a page, you have a chance of getting a Faerie quest.

There are different types of Faeries and each one will ask you to bring it a diffeent sort of item. When you do, it will reward you, usually with an increase in one of your pets levels.

Jobs:

Neopet jobs are tasks that you perfom. Similar to Faerie quests but not random, you need a job ticket to get a 'Job'. These tickets are given out throughout the day, but they are hard to get sometimes.

Other Quests:

Scattered throughout the Neopets site there are other Neopian characters that you can 'help'. They will ask you to fetch certain items for them and give you a reward afterwards.

(Not) Getting Scammed!

Your neopoints are valuable, and bad people want to steal them from you! Always, always be on the lookout for scammers. Here are a few things you should keep in mind.

Never ever ever give out your password to anyone! Not even to Neopets staff (or someone who says they are Neopets staff)! If someone asks for your password, report them right away.

Always trade at the Trading Post. Never try to do a private deal. But at the same time be very careful on the Trading Post. There are alot of scams that go on there. Always trade for comparable value, and don't let someone promise anything later because chances are you will never get it.
